Is It Ok Too Start Exercising

My husband and I have just started trying to have a baby. I was planning on starting up an exercise routine again - it's been about a year since I've jogged on a regular basis. Is it ok to start jogging if I may be pregnant? It's too soon to test and I really don't have any symtoms, but I'm not sure at what stage of pregnancy excercise is limited, especially since my body isn't used to it. Thanks!

When you're pregnant and not used to exercising, you should keep your heartrate at 140 and below to be safe. If you were a athlete in top shape prior to getting pregnant, you are allowed to elevate your heartrate even more. I would consult your doctor for his professional advice. On the other hand however, if this pregnancy is so early that it hasn't even been confirmed, then you're just talking about some cells, and I really don't think you can do any damage to them at this stage of the game. :o)

it should be fine...but - September 19

maybe you could do some moderate/medium aerobics like slow jogging/walking. I dont know that this would be the best time to start up an intense jogging routine, but there is never anything wrong with moderate exercise. If you are ttc...I would wait until after your baby is born to really vamp it up. Believe me you will need the motivation to rid yourself of the extra pregnancy pounds. It's up to you, but that is what I would do.
