Is Somebody Out There

i really don't have a question, I am just having a really rough day and I need some support. My basement is floooded< I have three children and I'm fifteen weeks pregnant and I am dealing with this disaster today all by myself. Nobody is available to come suck the water out because they appearently all went hunting. I am just balling my eyes out now and could use a sympathetic ear.

"Lean on me, when you're not strong. I'll be your friend! I'll help you carry on, for it won't be long, that I'm gonna need somebody to lean on!"

Seriously though, sorry to hear about your rough day! Sounds like a disaster! Is there a neighbor or close friend you can call to help you clean up the mess, or watch the kids while you take a breather? Don't get yourself too upset, and be sure to get a hug from your children... those always brighten my day! *Hugs!*

Hi there. Maybe there is somewhere you can go? A relative who can help you out? It sounds as though you have your hands full. Perhaps yuo can also try calling the city to see if there is anyone who can help pump out some of that water, or a plumber or if you don't have enough $$ mybe there is a teenager you know who you can pay to help you out with a mop or mind your kids while you clean up with a friend. It's awful that there are no able men around for you today! Sometimes I get mad too when I'm tired and have to shop and cook after work and I"m 20 weeks and my DH comes home to lie on the couch because he's tired from work. Men are so daft sometime. If all else fails, close the bas____nt door, make some popcorn, watch TV with your kids on a bunch of pillows and let the bas____nt sit until your husband comes home to help you dela with it. (Just move what you can from the floor that is irreplacable...and do it slowly with some music on. Music always helps)

As if you're not emotional enough with pregnancy hormones (I know I am!), you have to deal with this c___p right after Thanksgiving? I'm sorry hon. *hugs*

Thanks everybody, I got a hold of my husband at work finally and he went out to go get something to suck it up but right now I feel like I'm getting blamed and yelled at for having bothered him at work. And I just can't take this .I will obviously clean it up, but it just hard getting all this resistance to get it done.

How mean and insensitive of him to yell. Here you are pregnant with 3 kids running around. How awful! You need to tell him he can't be so dumb at times like this. It's not like you asked for the flood. But just talk to him when he is calm.

Thanks Daisy, I'm a lot calmer myself now. I also now understand, through talking to someone else, that it was stressfull at work for him, but it's just hard for me to be the bigger person these days you know. Thank you so much for your coments though, sometimes it just helps to know that someone understands how it feels to be me in a situation like this.

what a predicament...well at least your hubby is on his way home to help you out, but i know at the time it must have seemed so overwhelming. i am glad that you finally have some resolution for this problem, and now you can enjoy some time for yourself. and to...LISA...how rude are you! you should be ashamed of yourself! being rude to one of the women here in need...that is just wrong! upset...i hope you have a better night, and good luck with the mess.
