Is This Ok To Take When Pregnant

I'm not sure that I am pregnant but my period is late and I have had some spotting but a negative hpt. I have a horrible cold/allergies/sinus infection. I'm starting to lean towards the sinus infection though. Is it ok to take sudafed and benedryl allergy D if I am pregnant. I would only be about 4 weeks if I am.

no you can take sudafed (plain) robitussin (plain) and tylenol

I just started using the benedryl D last night because I am completely miserable. I have been told that I won't effect a baby this early. I don't want to jepordize my baby if in fact I am pregnant but I am really miserable. I know if I go to the dr. right now they will give me an antibiotic which isn't good for the baby either.

There are plenty of Category B antibiotics that can be taken safely while pregnant. Contact your doctor for the best advice:) Pregnant women get sick with bacterial infections all of the time and need to be medically treated, like the rest of the world.

I don't know for sure that I'm pregnant yet. I spotted for 2 days but only when I wiped and my period is late by one day now. I'm never late. I did take a hpt yesterday but only because I've been going to a fertility dr. and my husband needed to go in yesterday and I tried to spare him the trip if I was in fact pregnant. My OBGYN has said in the past that because I get frequent yeast infections that they couldn't give me anything for it in the first 3 months of a pregnancy. I a__sumed he meant that I couldn't take anything at all for the first 3 months. Is it true that the baby doesn't get anything that you eat, drink, or take for the first few weeks? That's what I've been told and I thought that I read somewhere but I never really believed that.

Worried, that is true but keep in mind that many drugs/substances can effect cell division, which can effect your pregnancy. The baby does not need to ingest what you take to be effected by potentially harmful substances during the rapid cell division that is taking place early in pregnancy.
