Hi Everyone, I have just found out I am pregnant with my first and have been to see my doctor who has told me I am about 6 weeks. I have a quick question for all you pregnant ladies out there, I appear as though I am not going to the bathroom as much as my doctor made out that I would. Has anyone else experienced this or is it just to early for any symptoms.

like as in urine?

it's not necessarily too early for any symptoms, but a lot of the time you will start urinating frequently a little bit later on - I'm 8.5 and don't go a lot...

My bladder was like a walnut before I got pregant...Until the 'bundle of joy' is big enough to put pressure on your bladder- you may not have to pee that often.

Brittany, Sorry I did make myself clear. Yes I mean Urine

That was one of my first, but everyone is different plus I drink water all day long before and after I found out.So that might make a difference. The frequency in urinating is as a result of your uterus growing and pressing on your bladder, to acommadate the growth of you little one Congrats

No - I didn't go a lot more during the day, but ended up getting up really early in the AM to go... But sometimes I still don't and I am over 20 wks.

I didn't have any problems until I was about 13 wks pg. Then I was up all night but now at 15 wks I'm back to my regular bathroom schedule. Ha ha! Everyone is different.

I think maybe it is a little early for you yet. I am 13weeks with twins and I am always going!

I didn't have that problem either until the second trimester, which is when it's supposed to be easing off. Now I'm peeing all the time!

You might not urinate frequently until the baby starts growing larger and squishing your urinary tract..THAT is when you REALLY feel the need to go alot...for me, that's usually around 7 months pregnant..everyone is different though

I didn't feel the need to go either until I was about 14 weeks or so. It can also depend on how your uterus is positioned. 20% of women have a tilted uterus so in some of them they won't feel it as soon because the top of the uterus does not put pressure on the bladder, and when it starts to grow it also lifts out of the pelvis away from the bladder as it straightens out, so some never do get that problem til their third trimester when it is at it's worst.
