I have asked what labor feels like now I have a rather strange or stupid question. Where are the pains when you have them? Are they in the upper abdomine, or lower. What about in the back??

Everyone labors differently, and feels in different areas. My first mainly was an intense tightening of the uterus which then turned crampy and back-achey before the drugs kicked in! :) I had a drug called Demerol (military hospital 15 years ago) and it made me sleepy in between contractions and the contractions bearable. My twins two years later the labor was extremely short (first baby born 10 min after I got to the hospital.) No meds and I have had cramps worse than the labor contractions. Second baby an emergency C-section and recovery was hard. Hope this helps..

my contractions felt like menstral cramps...that just started getting stonger and more frequent.
