Lost Seven Lbs At 18 Weeks Is This Normal

I am 18 weeks. I had an ultrasound today and my baby girl is perfectly healthy. I asked the doc how much weight I had gained so far and he said I had actually lost seven pounds. It really had me concerned because I have not been sick and I have been eating like a horse. Actually I was afraid I had gained too much weight. The doc said he was not worried at all because the baby looks great. This is my third pregnancy. During both of my other pregnancies I gained right from the beginning. Have any of you girls had trouble gaining weight during pregnancy or know anyone who has?

I'm not a pet_te gal and I didn't start gaining weight until I was almost 7 months. I work with a woman who lost 60lbs during her pregnancy because EVERYTHING made her sick. The charming men she worked made sport out of making her vomit. Men can be such jerks. Her baby girl was, and is, perfectly healthy. Also know another woman who was larger than average and she lost 35lbs in the first few months. My best friend was below her pre-pregnancy weight when she left the hospital having gained 50lbs of water!! She looked freaky with all that extra water, let me tell you... All healthy babies though, don't worry.

Don't worry if your baby looks okay. I am 20 weeks and had lost over ten pounds. Just in the last two weeks I have put two pounds back on. Although I had sever all day sickness and vomiting really bad. I couldn't hardly eat a thing for over three months. I am just now starting to enjoy food again and only vomit a couple times a week now instead of daily, all day. It does get better, but if you would have told me that three weeks ago I would have not believed it.
