okay Im 4 months pregnant and the doc told me I have a urinary tract infection. he said no sexual intercourse. my question is why cant I have sex? also can I masterbate. will I get hurt if I masterbate to much? And why, for the life of me I cant explain, do I feel so damn horny?

if you have intercourse during your infection you can spread it to your partner, then they can give it back to you, and it will just keep going back and forth.... you can masterbate as long as you make sure your hands and down there is clean before and after each time, otherwise any added bacteria will make the infection worse.... and pregnancy throws your hormones way off-hence why you are hornier than normal... so hold off on the sex until your infection is gone, then to prevent reoccurance make sure you and your partner are freshly clean before each time, because you are more supseptable to infections while pregnant, and for a while after... good luck

And if your doctor didn't mention it, ALWAYS urinate within 15 minutes of having sex. Many women get urinary tract infections from sexual fluids making their way to the woman's urethra. Peeing gets rid of them, where as not peeing will let the fluids travel further up into your bladder which often leads to infection. Because many women get bladder infections like this, I would imagine that's part of the reason to be advised to not have sex right now. But sadly, I believe the same would go for masturbation too. Your own vaginal fluids in the wrong place at the wrong time can cause a UTI, so it may make the problem worse.

Having a UTI while pregnant can lead to premature labour. The risk should pass once the infection is cleared up, but good friends of mine delivered at 6 months because she had a UTI. (After a few months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit she was fine and healthy enough to come up). I'm not telling you to try to scare you, but so that you are aware of just how important this is. Please, call your doctor for their take on whether you can masturbate or if you should hold off.

Also to prevent them be sure to pee after baths and try to limit the amount of soap that is in the water. Or just take showers. UTIs in children and many women are actually a result of being in baths too long.

yes i had forgotten the peeing right after sex, AND CLEANING UP!! dont just fall asleep or get up and do other things, wash... (i know it sounds bad like i am suggesting your hygiene isn't good but im not its just things some people dont think about) if that UTI gets too bad, it can cause huge issues with your TAKE your Dr's advice and avoid sex!!!
