I just had a question... I stopped taking birth control pills about a month ago. I just got my period this time it was a 31 day cycle, I usually have a 28 day cycle (when I was on the pill) Now I am trying to get pregnant, but I have no idea how long to say my cycle is so I know when I am ovaluating. Do I count the 31 day cycle or the 28 day. If someone could help that would be great.

Sometimes your cycle has to even itself out after you stop the pill. You can get a basal thermometer that will help you track ovulation. A pretty definite sign that you're ovulating is a thick, clear v____al discharge, almost like egg white.

I was on the pill for 8 years... Stopped about a year and a half ago... During that 1 1/2 years... I think I only had 7 periods. DH and I were having protected s_x and I would still go 3+ months with no AF. I really have no "cycle" now. I have to chart my temp and take opk's. I think it does take up to 3 months to determine your "cycle" after you stop taking the pill. Your body has been forced into a 28 day for a while so... It needs a little time to adjust. Good luck!!!
