I went to the doctor today and I am 6w 1d. They saw a sac and the yolk, but no heartbeat. They said the sac measured 7 weeks (which is just impossible.) and the yolk measured 5w5d. I had a baby die at 16w Gest. Has anyone else had this no heartbeat at 6w1d and given different dates. They didn't seem concerned and they don't want to see me again for 2 weeks. HELP! Kashmear

Hi Kashmear, I am so sorry to hear about your loss but not too worry, I have been married for 8 months and in 8 months I have had 2 misscarriages, the first was similar to your story I was 2 months and there was no heart beat. Please dont blame your self and do not give up I know exactly what your going through because I have been there. But believe me there is hope let it be, after my second miss I just left everything in Gods hands and told myself when the time is right it will all fall into place, dont worry about the doctors they are not God he is the one that gives and takes and oneday soon you will have a baby. You wont believe this but I am pregnant again I have'nt been to th gynae yet but my GP did a blood test and it came up positive I am 6 weeks. even if I go to the gynae next week and things are not as I expected I know God will get me through it. So like I said let it be and when you least expect it there will be a surprise for you. I hope this makes you feel better.

It is very common to not see the heartbeat at 6 weeks. It is just too tiny at this stage as your baby is smaller than a raisin. Heartbeats can't usually be detected until around 8 or 9 weeks, so don't worry!

kashmear, try not to worry right now. I had a scan at 7 weeks and they didn't see the heartbeat. I am now 17 weeks along and everything is fine. However, i would ask for another scan in one week and they should see something then. At least know if there was growth. Good luck.

when i found out I was pregnant My last period was oct 1 2004 so when I went to the doctor after thankgiving, thre was no heartbeat We all thought by the calulations I was 8 weeks so they said by that time there should have been a heartbeat and the sac only measured 6 weeks 4 days so my dr said that either thae baby stopped growing and wasn't viable or I was not as far along as we all thought, so I went back the next week and there it was a beautiful heartbeat. My miracle baby was born on 7/28/2005, we tried for 10 years to have a baby and we were scared to death when no heartbeat was detected. So I know what you are going through all will be fine and a strong heartbeat will be detected soon. Take care. Faith is 8 months old today happy and healthy.

I had to have three early scans as I had an ectopic prgnancy three years ago and they were afraid this pregnancy was also ectopic. I was scaned at 6 weeks and like you had sac, yolk but no heartbeat but was then scaned again at 7 weeks and sure enough there it was, its amazing what a difference a week can make. Hope this helps xxxx Stace

Today I found out via US that I am in fact two weeks further on than they thought making me 14 weeks meaning when I had a scan which discovered no heartbeat I was in fact about 7 1/2 weeks pregnant. I hope this helps hun. Today I saw a a very active baby kicking and the little heart was fluttering like mad.
