Not Yet Pregnant But Trying Flu Shot Or Not

My husband and I are going to start trying to get pregnant as soon as my current period is over. I'm wondering if I should get a flu shot. I've never had one before and have only rarely gotten the flu (once or twice), but I'm wondering if it would be worth it this time to avoid getting the flu later while pregnant. Any thoughts?

i did it - November 1

i called sick childrens hospital in toronto to their mother risk clinic and was told the flu shot is an inactive vaccine and can be taken by pregnant women. She suggested I take it before I get pg if I can because it will be one less thing to worry about during the first trimester. I got mine yesterday and my fertility doc also said go for it as did the pharmacist, so I did. I ovulated last week so this is my implant week and I have no worries.

i would get the shot. I had the flu for 2 months while pregnant and it was the worst, theres not much you can take for it once youve got it

I would get it if I were you. I can't get it because I'm allergic to eggs, but the recommend all pregnant or women TTC get the shot.
