We all want one but I don't think there is such a thing as a painless labor. Labor =work

I either have a high tolerance for pain or my labor was pretty painless. I had back labor, no water break and didnt lose mucous plug. Drove myself to work was there an hour before a doctor there told me to call my ob. Drove myself back to the house, got my bag, then drove myself to the hospital in rush hour traffic. When I got to the hospital and the Dr checked me I was 4cm dialated. The pain was nothing like what I had expected, I felt like I had a back ache that I could time. I did have an epidural, but the pain was very mild. I was watching tv while pushing. Now on my 2nd child and scared of what kinda pain I will have. I hope its the same.

im crossing my fingers and hoping for a painless labour, this is my first so im not sure what to expect, my mum has had two children the longest labour was my sister at an hour and 50 minutes i was just 86 mins! she said she never felt any pain and with my sis when the doctor was checking her to measure her dilation she had a sip of water and coughed and there was the baby!! I so hope im like my mum!!!!!
