what days can you get pergnant

name - October 23

pergnant...I think you mean pregnant dear. And usually 14 days after your period. In the middle of your cycle. this time is ovulation.Ovulation does not always occur at the same time for every woman because every one has different cycles. But usually this is the way it goes with a 28 day cycle. So you can get pregnant at other times, this is just when it is most likely.

Find out your cycle first. It's true, the average women has a 28day cycle but it isn't true for a lot of women. To find out how long your cycle is, find the very first day you bled on your last period. Then, you need to find the very first day you bled on the NEXT period. The days you count from the the first date to the next date is your cycle length. However, some women vary from month to month, making it more difficult! It's true that if you're cycle is 28days, you generally ovulate (produce your egg for fertilization) on the 14th day of the cycle (which is 14 days after the first day of your last period.) This means that if the first day of you last period was Oct 15th, you will probably ovulate on Oct 29th and will be due for your next period on Nov 13th. The best days to get pregnant are 5 days before the ovulation day and 1-2 days after (just in case you are a little late ovulating) The egg only sticks around for a very short period of time but the sperm have good odds because they can live for up to 5 days inside of a women! This means you can have s_x on a Monday but you really don't get pregnant until, say, a Wednesday! A single burst of sperm also takes different lengths of time to get to an egg. Some take 45min, some take 12hours! This makes it harder to pin down the exact time you got pregant but, it's a good rule to know that the best days to get pregnant are 5 days before you ovulate and the day that you are expected to ovulate. If your cycle is not 28 days or, you sometimes skip a period altogether (I have a girlfriend who gets hers every three months!) Then it's more difficult to tell but, in general, you usually ovulate half-way through you cycle.
