Period Problems

My Dh and I have been TTC since Sept 06, after being off the pill for over a year. Prior to Nov 06. I was having 28 day cycles, no spotting, no problems. Then in December I missed my period, after about 3 weeks worth of Neg tests, I went to my lovely military Dr. Who did some blood work, but failed to mention what it was, when I called for results they told me all was normal, but once again evaded my question of what the heck they ran, I am assuming it was a thryoid, progesterone, glucose etc. Finally I got a very painful period Jan 1st- making it a 56 day cycle. 2 weeks after that period I had some light spotting for a day after some heavy lifting at work. Now I am once again late, by about 2 weeks, but I am thinking my AF is on it's way. Why is it everything works as it should until you want to have a baby? I guess I am just looking for others that have a similiar issues that can give me some advise as to what to do next, or what they did to help them concieve. I am beginning to think I am crazy thinking I will ever be able to get pregnant.

that spotting you had 2 weeks after your period could very well be ovulation spotting and I would take a test to see. I haev alwayd had very irregulat periods and after i had my 1st they become more irregular but thatn after my 2nd became more regular. I have had 30/31 day cycles forever than i had a m/c and chemical pregnany right after than i didnt have a period for July and August. I must add even on b/c my af only came once very 3 months and than every 30/31 after my 3rd pregnancy. Anywho I finally got a period in september and i ended up having a 28 cycle (which I have never ever had in my life) and am currently pregnant. your body does funny things and I wish you the best of luck :)
