It sounds like the bleeding on January 24th was implantation, Jan 1 was LMP and you likely ovulated around Jan. 15 (if you have 28 day cycles) and implantation takes 6-12 days giving you Jan.24. When you have your first u/s the will be able to tell you more accruatly how far along you are and if you will go by Jan 1 or another date. congrads

I should also add if Jan.1 is the date your EDD is October 8 and you will be 5 weeks tomorrow.

I would have to agree w/ DBNT that the second set of bleeding was likely implant bleeding. However, call your OB for an appointment and see if they will do an u/s to confirm a due date (some OB's don't do them unless there is a reason -such as dating- others like mine automatically due a first trimester u/s to make sure the date is correct, so ask your OB about it and try to get one). The earlier they do an u/s the more accurate it is so if you can get one done while you are still in the 1st trimester (before 12 w's so try to get it done w/in the next 2-3 weeks if possible), it will be most accurate (1st tri is accurate w/in about 5 days, 2nd tri is accurate w/in a couple of weeks). Good luck and congrats.

I had exactly the same events with my first pregnancy. You're probably right about the Jan 24 'period' being implantation. I was so busy at the time I treated it like a normal period and just figured the month went by particularly fast! Finally, I had an u/s to date the pregnancy accurately. Coincidentally, I'm also 10 weeks pregnant right now and it looks like we're due around the same time. Good luck with everything!
