It has been 4 weeks and 6 days snice my miscarriage. I had unprotected s_x two nights in a row. two nights ago and the night before that. I have not had a period snice my miscarriage what are the chances that I could become pregnant from the unprotected s_x? I realy am longing for a second baby.

Didn't your doctor tell you that it would be best to wait at least one normal menstrual cycle before getting pg again? My doctor told me that if you don't wait, that the chance for another m/c is slightly higher because your uterine lining has not had a chance to re-build itself properly. I had a m/c as well, then got pg again 2 months later, so I understand how much you want to get pg again .... whether or not you are pg right now depends on when/if you ovulated. I wish you the best and take care of yourself.

Hello, I am sorry to hear about your loss. I m/c'd at 7 weeks along. We were given the go ahead to try again right away. I did not have a d/c. We did not know when I was ovulating. I ended up getting my period 6 weeks to the day after the start of the m/c. We conceived 2 weeks later. I am 36 weeks along with a very healthy uncomplicated pregancy. Good luck to you!

I was given 2 opinions I did ask the doctor if their was higher risk of recurring miscarriage if you got pregnant again right away she said no they usually ask you to wait so they can date the baby.

There is a very good chance to become pregnant that quickly. In fact some doctors tell you to wait, but my doctor told me the opposite to start trying right away if I felt ready. I became pregnant after 2 cycles. I am now in my 19th week and all my tests have been phenomenal. With my last pregnancy I was 14 weeks when the heart stopped beating and I had to have a D&C. My OB told me there is no link between one miscarriage and becoming pregnant quickly a second time. In fact just the opposite can be true.. having a miscarriage two times in a row is 2 times less likely to happen that it was the first time you had a miscarriage. This is of course if you do not have any genteically inherited diseases, chromosome problems or unknown problems like endometreosis or low fsh levels etc. People are often told to wait so they are emotionally ready. If you are indeed pregnant I wish you all the best and remember if you are.. your body facilitated the right conditions for this to happen. With every cycle there is only a 20% chance that conception may occur. Consider yourself one of the lucky ones..All the best to you..Kristin

I miscarried at 7 weeks in April. I was pregnant again 2 weeks later, and I am not at almost 12 weeks with no problems so far. My doc also said to try again as soon as I was ready, that waiting for a period was not necessary. Best of luck to you!

I miscarried in December and didnt start my period for 6 weeks after. Then I tried for 3 months to get pregnant, am now 12 weeks and doing good. You should wait atleast 2 months or the risk of miscarrying again are greater but if you do become pregnant dont stress, god will take care of you

Hi tmuise1, I am sorry to hear about your loss and know how you feel that is why I would like to share my story with you, I have had three miscarriages in my life. The first one I was very young I did'nt not even know until it happend. I got married last year July and my husband and I decided to start a family immediatly . I am generally a very healty person and a__sumed that I would not have any problems I fell pregnant 3 months after being married but lost the baby at two months I was very hurt but my husband supported me all the way and told me that we will not give up. Then I fell pregnant in January this year at three weeks but lost again. We eventually decided to go and see a specialist who did'nt tell us much she told me that if I tried again I would lose the baby. Well I told myself that God knows best and what ever will happen will happen. I even started started believing that I would never have kids. We never planned anything but a few weeks later I found out that I was pregnant without even getting a period. Today I am five months pregnant and all's going well. So all I can say to you is dont give up always believe. if you feel that you are ready try again and you will be pregnant again. Everything of the best to you.
