You will still miss your period if you've accidentally conceived but are on the pill. I've heard now mixed opinions about being pregnant and still taking the pill, but they used to say it had no effect. Now they aren't so sure. If you're not sure if you're pregnant they all agree that you should continue to take the pill. If your period is late, take a home pregnancy test

I agree with Malica. It depends on the type of hormone in your BCP as well I believe, or at least they used to say this anyway. Take a test if you are late, and go from there. I conceived while on BCP as well. However, to ease your mind, I was also taking anti-convulsants for epilepsy and knew that these drugs would cancel out the BCP. My doc was trying to manage my monthly cycles, and knew that we were trying to conceive as well. As soon as I started the BCP, BAM!!! I was preggo...this, after trying for about a year to conceive with no luck. So, unless you've taken certain antibiotics or other meds that will cancel out your BCP, you are probably safe from pregnancy. I would test though, as BCP is not the correct prevent_tive for some women.
