Pressure In My Vaginal Area

Hello, I am 22 weeks pregnant and experiencing extreme pressure in my va___al area. My friends who have children say that I shouldn't be feeling that sort of pressure so soon in my pregnancy. The only suggestion the on call midwife had for me is to see by doctor. My appointment is not until next week and I am worried. Also, after I urinate the bottom of my belly gets really painful. To the point where it is difficult for me to walk. Does anyone have any advice for a first time mom to be. Thanks!

I am experiencing the same thing! I am 20 weeks pregnant. I don't know if I would consider it 'intense' but it's definitely uncomfortable. Its o.k. when I am lying down and sometimes doesn't bother me walking/standing, but when I have been sitting for a while it is horrible. I have had the pain after an empty bladder too. I think it is the baby's position- i feel my baby kicking down low too - sometimes in my bowels! I go to the doc on thursday & will double check with him then!

I found an article on Dr. Spock that said if the pressure goes away after lying down or changing positions then it can wait until the dr. appt. If it doesn't go away, then call your doctor.
