I recently got this book, and I wanted to pass it along to everyone. The name is Baby Bargains by Denise & Alan Fields. It is all ratings on all sorts of baby items: cribs, furniture, clothes, diapers, br___t pumps, car seats, strollers, etc. and maternity clothes. They rate based on price, quality, recalls, and safety, and actual parents can contact them with input. They go over what you need and what is hype, what brands are good for which products, and how much you can expect to spend. This is a great book for us first-timers who want to buy quality, not pay extra for a name that may not be worth it. It is a great reference book....we plan on taking it shopping with us so when we find something we like, we can see how it's rated. I got mine used off Amazon.com for 2.30, so less than 6.00 after shipping. Great investment! Hope you learn as much from it as we did.

Thanks for sharing! I'm not a first-timer, but I think it will help, as there are items that I will need to buy new with this baby. I'd like to recommend a book, also. It is called "Belly Laughs" by Jenny McCarthy. It is so funny, and it lets us know that even the beautiful glamorous celebrities go through the same stuff everyone else does during pregnancy! :o)
