Because I did not know my blood type when I found out I was pregnant, my doctor sent me to be tested to see if I was RH neg. If I had been I was to recieve a shot in case the baby was RH pos to make sure my body would accept the baby. I am not sure what this shot was called, but If you have not recieved it you should contact your doc very soon. Best wishes!

LEE casta~ Hey, I too was RH negative. You will get a shot (called Rhogam) somewhere around 16-20 weeks. They will also give you a card to carry in your wallet that shows you've had the shot, you are supposed to carry it with you for your entire pregnancy. After you have the baby, if your baby is RH positive you will receive another shot of Rhogam, and that will be the end of it. The shot just prevents your body from attacking RH positive antibodies in future pregnancies. It's not a disease, there is nothing wrong with you, and aside from accepting the necessary shots, there are no special precautions. Good luck.
