Rollercoaster While Pregnant

It is ok to go on rollercoasters when it is still early in your pregnancy, or will it harm the develping baby?

i think not. while baby is still very small and well protected the g-forces of a rollercoaster can be very harmful. little rides, like ferris wheels and carousels are fine.

I went to Six Flags a few weeks ago and was told that all rides were off limits for pregnant women (even after asking, I didn't get in free, though...). I think this is a liability issue. I successfully rode the carousel, old fashioned cars and train. I know, such a rebel! Holiday World limits pregnant women to the Freedom Train and wading pool. I do plan to float on the Lazy River just as much as possible. Would certainly avoid roller coasters while pregnant, though.

My friend went to 6 flags just before she found out she was preggo, everything looks fine, but she hasn't gone on anything since. I have stopped since ttc. If you have before finding out, I'd say should be ok... but I'd say refrain from now on. You can go to the park's websites and find out which are suitable for preggo women and which are not, most will post so.
