I am a Rainbow leader (Daisy scouts in the USA). We have our annual summer trip coming up to a small family theme park, which has various tame rollercoasters. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. I know pregnant women should not go on rollercoasters, but wondered if it was because of the motion of the rollercoaster or the restraining bars? Am I safe to go on any rides (log flume etc.) with the girls? Thanks.

I don't think you will be. Almost every ride I see at those places have signs saying you shouldn't ride if you are pregnant. The slow rides you may be able to go on, but the rest someone else will probably have to take the kids.

No it is not safe to go on any rides (except for maybe the rides for very small children). If you ask your doctor, they will probably tell you to stay off the rides.

the only ride my doctor approved at the fair is a merry go round....Sorry

It's the sudden stops/starts and overall bumpy ride that's not good for you.
