Sex How Often

Me and my partner have been trying to conceive for a couple of months. This month we invested in an ovulation kit which was positive for LH surge the day I bought it! (mid-cycle). We have had s_x everyday this month so far. Is this too much and can it affect the quality of my partners sperm?

Yes!! You should try to do it every other day to give his sperm count time to build back up!!! Plus try not to wear yourself out during times of the month when you know you're not ovulating!! Concentrate more so on it when your kit shows you are, and just relax the remaining time!! You make it harder to concieve if you stress on it too much!!! My husband and I tried awfully hard our first month, to the point of exhaustion, we were tired of s_x, and that's not how we wanted to make our baby, we wanted it to be pure lovemaking!!!! And the next month, bam!!!! We got pregnant and we only did it every three days!!! Just relax and have fun with it!!!!

Me and my husband tried for 3 months and nothing. I went to my doctor and he told me to count 10 days from the first day of my period and have s_x 5 days with one day in between and then I couldn't get up for an hour, and he also told us not to use any lubricant in these 10 days. The first time we tried this, I got pregnant. I'm now five weeks and 4 days!!! Good Luck!!!

wow! thanks for your reply. If we arent successful this month then we will definately take it easier next month (although far from being exhausted my partner thinks its all his birthdays and christmas's rolled into one at the moment)! I feel like we "deserve" to be pregnant this month though! fingers crossed. thanks again :)

Congratulations Kelly, you must both be over the moon! I am also laying down (with my legs up in the air) for at least an hour afterwards and we dont use any lubricants as a rule anyway. Like i said i got really lucky with the ovulation kit this month and it has made us a bit over optimistic maybe? I am due for my period this coming weekend so we'll see what happens. Best of luck to you :)
