Should I Be Worried Of A Miscarriage

Hello! I just found out that I'm pregnant!! About five weeks. I am a healthy 26 year old who runs and lifts religiously and eats a sensible diet, I have been taking prenatal pills even before we concieved! But I still have an uneasy feeling about miscarrying. I know it's out of my hands for the most part, but should I allow my emotions to run freely? I've been holding in any type of excitement just to protect myself, until about the second trimester, how can I get these worrisome feelings to go away???

I'm also five weeks pregnant and have the same worries. I went to the doctor's on monday and he told me and my husband to come back in two weeks so he can really declare me pregnant, because the critical part would be over. He already did an ultrasound and we could see the sac, it was amazing! I'm trying not to think to much about miscarriage, I'm trying to stay positive!!! Good Luck!!!

Hi Fran!! Thanks for your reply!! That's great that your doctor got you in sooo soon, I called a day after I found out and they can't get me in until Feb. 28th uggghh! So I would already be almost 12 weeks. So they don't declare you pregnant until how many weeks??? When I talked to the receptionist, I was like, should I go to a clinic to get a blood test to confirm the pregnancy and she said if I got three positives it's a for sure thing!! But that must of been wonderful to see the little sac! So are we out of the critical period after eight weeks or what did your doctor say?? Thansk again!! Leah
