Skin Color

My husband and I are brown skin African Americans. We had a son and his skin color is very dark, significantly darker than ours at 2 months old. Is it possible to have a child with skin color that is totally different than that of his parents?

I would think it possible...maybe one of your sons got a darker skin color from relatives or it was pa__sed down thru generations. So much make up our genetics, a child can come out with a gene that belonged to a great grandmother....weird huh?...One of my girlfriends (African American) is very dark and her daughter is light light......beautiful girl....

Yes I'm positive my husband is the father. His mothers brothers are very very dark skin also.

I have actually heard of 2 white people haveing a black baby. It was definately both of theirs according to DNA tests, but somewhere down the genetic line.....

My husband and I are both pretty dark complected people. He is very italian and I am german. Our son is very fair with blue eyes. I guess you never know what is down the line in your family.
