Small

I've just hit 6 months and while having my once a month hospital check up, my Dr said my baby is border line small. She is 20 - 21 cms from crown to rump. Mind you 3 of my 4 other children were just over 6 pounds and my eldest was 4 pound. I quit smoking with my eldest and yet she was the smallest, I smoked with the rest. YES I know smoking is bad weather your pregnant or not. My hospital Dr made me feel stressed and worried to say the least. I went and got another opinion and was told not to stress myself, if shes small then she'll be a smaller bundle of joy to love. Has anyone else had this happen and am I worrying over nothing?? Oh and another thing.....this will be my 5th C-section and the stupid Dr said they'll operate between 38-40 weeks. Hmmm i'll go into labour between those dates and if I do theres a risk to my baby girl dying :(

You say this is your fifth c-section and they will deliver you at 38-40 weeks. My question is why do you say there is a risk to your baby dying. I know that having too many c-sections can cause the uterus to be weaker where they cut and sewed at.Are you saying there is a risk because of the chance of a ruptured uterus, or is there another reason? If that is a huge risk wouldn't they monitor you more closely and even put you on bed rest in the hospital if it is that serious?

The risk is a ruptured uterus, apparently if I go into labour it can tear and it will kill the baby. Thats why they don't recomment natural birth after 2 C-sections. I have no idea why they arn't monitoring me closley. I don't see the usual midwives I see the delivering Dr's, I guess thats their way of monitoring me.
