STRESSED Could I Be Pregnant

Me and my boyfriend had unprotected s_x several times last night and he did not pull out. It was the first time for both of us, if that makes any difference. My period is due within the next 3-5 days. What are the chances that I could become pregnant this late in my cycle? I am young (college age) and my my family has a history of being pretty fertile (2 younger brothers who were conceived on birth control)...does this up my risk of being pregnant?

It is unlikely that you're going to get pregnant from this as you're most fertile 14 days before your period starts, however you could consider Plan B if it's not against your beliefs (also called 'the morning after pill', but some consider it to be a form of early abortion so use your own digression when considering). Please plan ahead next time -- condoms are easily accessible and a lot cheaper than having a baby, or talk to your doctor about the birth control pill or other alternatives.

plan b is not a form of abortion..it jus keeps the sperm from ever meeting the egg. also if she was already pregnant plan b will not affect the pregnancy process in any way.

yep... plan b is not the abortion pill... two totally different things. i hope everything works out for you!

Plan B works by preventing ovulation if it hasn't already occurred, but also will thicken the lining of the uterus so that if you did ovulate and sperm was able to fertilize the egg, it would not be able to implant and continue. To some people conception begins at fertilization (when egg reaches sperm), so many people have moral objections on Plan B for this reason; some see it as preventing a pregnancy from continuing rather than preventing a pregnancy from happening. I certainly don't share that belief, but last time I suggested Plan B to someone I had my head ripped off for suggesting that it even be considered because to some it is no different from abortion. I disagree with that, but I don't want to mislead someone looking for help in case they have moral objections to the morning after pill.
