most babies are born in July and Aug - the heat is unbareable the sweat just pours off of you , heat stroke is available for you to have anytime you want it and you're carrying .... what are some of the ways you cope with the heat .

My first child was born at the end of augest. I was miserable that summer. the only way I could deal with it was to close all of my curtains and walk around my house all day naked, sometimes wraped in a cold wet towel.

Curtains closed to keep the sun out (keeps it cooler) Air conditioning, cold cold showers and then I put on clothes without drying. This way when I go into the air conditioned living room I'm actually freezing for an hour or so. LOTS of water. LOTS of laziness. No baking. Lots of sandwiches and cereal rather than using heat of stove. Shorts (to many kids to be naked all the time, lucky JC) I think that about covers it.

Going 130km/h down the highway with all the windows unrolled and the AC blasting at you. It feels GOOOOOOD. My first was born at the end of august as well. I spent hours in the cold shower, and laying on the bas____nt floor.

I like the one about lying on the floor , my son does that even at the mall to cool down regardless how dirty and tracked it may be .

I've been spending hours in the swimming pool. The one by our building is closed, so we have to walk across the street and between a few buildings, but it's worth the walk. It tires my daughter out, too, and she'll nap for a couple of hours when we get back. I also found that if I have to be outdoors for any length of time, a wet paper towel (folded into a square so it stays wet longer) to wipe your face and neck can keep you much cooler.
