Tell Us About Your Test Results

Several of us have had similar experiences with our pregnancy test results. We've noticed very bright-bold-obvious lines on our pregnancy test when the result was a girl, and faint-hardly there lines when we had a boy. Can you relate or are we just crazy???

Although I answered in the last discussion I will reply again...I am pregnant now with what I am told is my 3rd daughter and all of my pregnancy tests have shown bright obvious lines even before my missed period...this is interesting.

I'm glad to see this thread started. It really interests me. With my 1st child, I was already 6-7 weeks, so that doesn't really count. But w/my second one... a boy... nearly 2 weeks after missed period, I got a very faint line. No way to know the s_x of my 2 miscarriages, but I'll include some info about it. 1st mc - very faint line over a week after missed period.... 2nd mc - bright line 4 days before missed period... go figure. I look forward to seeing all of the input here!

It all depends on the test, the amount of hCG required to show a positive and the actual hCG present. If you gathered a group of women with the same hCg levels and gave them the same test brand, there would be no color intensity difference due to gender. That said, I am prego with boy and had a dark line 1 day prior to my period being due.
