did anyone notice a shift in basal body temps when they thought they were pregnant?

In theory the BBT stays elevated if you are pregnant. If you are checking your cervix, it doesn't get hard again.

i have tried checking my cervix, but have never done it before and don't know what i am feeling for, i am sorry to ask this, but what should it feel like? and how far is it?

If you are pregnant and have been taking your bbt daily, then you will notice that you temp. stays elevated and does not sharply drop down, before your period would normally come. If your cervix is hard (not fertile) and low, it feels like the end of your nose. When it is soft (fertile) and high, it feels like your lips. After you become pregnant it becomes closed and hard so nothing can enter or exit until around the time the baby is to come.

There! I found the link I was looking for. http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/cervixpositionpregnancy.html The link says the cervix rises and softens during pregnancy, but it is not a reliable early indicator as it does not happen early for all women. The cervix is up in the v____a about the length of a middle finger (or a p___s). Feel for it squatting on your heels in the shower with well washed hands.
