Tight Clothing In Early Pregnancy

My husband and family are driving me CRAZY about my jeans being "too tight"(which they are not) and are trying to get me into maternity clothes already...I'm only a little over 5 weeks! Are form fitting clothes dangerous to my baby?

When my jeans were too tight, I knew it. It was VERY uncomfortable. No one should have to be put in maternity clothes ahead of time.

the only problem with tight clothes is that they make you uncomfortable. Wait until you are showing to wear maternity clothes or they will not fit right. You will have a big bulge in your pants with no belly to fill it!! Maybe, just try elastic or looser pants for now, they will be more comfortable

I don't know about them being harmful, however, it is sooo uncomfortable. You can buy those "early maternity" pants that don't have that big mama belly panel. But they have an elastic band around them for the early months. Go to oldnavy.com and look at their maternity, low rise jeans/pants. They are perfect for when you outgrow your normal pants, but aren't big enough for that big panel. I love them. I wore them nearly my whole pregnancy... both times. Not that you can only get them from Old Navy, I am just familiar with that site. Also, I don't think it is harmful to your baby at this point, but you gotta wonder if it is good to put added pressure on your bladder, etc. Check those pants out and see what you think. It is easy to stay stylish with them.
