Hi w! Great to hear there's someone else here from the UK. To be honest I'm not actually from Manchester, I live 40 mins away in Nantwich. I put Manchester as I thought most people in would know it. Whereabouts do you live though? My sister actually lives in Didsbury so I occasionally visit her. Would be great to talk about our pregnancies, especially with us both being from the same region in the UK. My name is actually Hayley too (middle name is Emma). Have oyu had your 20 week scan yet? p.s. my email is [email protected]

Hi abbie! Yes I think most people are american so it's good that there's the odd few of us from the UK. How is your pregnancy going? How many weeks are you? We can probably relate more both being from the UK. Should all stay in touch and let each other know how our pregnancies are going!

Hello girls, Emma I live in didsbury and yes I have been for my 20 weeks scan I also went for my 24 weeks scan too coz the baby was in a awkward position. I moved to Didsbury last yr in June and thats wen i got married too. Hi Abbie am goin to scotland (Edinburgh) in 2 weeks my brother is getting to married to a scottish wee bird LOL! There should be a site like this just for UK people coz sometimes u feel u dont fit in!!! Emma do u know wot ur having and what is due dates that's to both of u.

Hi w. I am having a boy! Everyone told me not to find out but I was too curious! My due date is July 14th but I keep thinking I will probably go over that. When's yours? Do you know what you're having? Is this your first baby? I am excited and nervous at the same time. I don't know what to expect regarding labour pains etc. Will just have to wait and see! Do y ou like living in Didsbury? I think it's really nice round there - lot's of nice bars and that. Love Hayley

Hi Hayley, I am too having a boy, but my husband still reckons it's a girl for some strange reason even though we could clearly see a p___s. I am moving from Didsbury just before the baby is born to Cheadle which is a little bit up teh road. We are moving to abogger house. My due date is June 18th, and I think that he will come early. I too am very excited I cant w8 to have him in my arm and just want to see wot he looks like. He is a right mover so I hope he aint gonna be up all night cant cope as i love my sleep LOL. My back is starting to hurt me now, how about you?

Oh ye this is my 1st baby, I plabt to have 3 all very quickly because I want to go back to my career. I did my teaching degree just before I got married at Liverpool Hope Uni, but haven't even bothered to work just got too lazy, i think with all teh studying u just want a rest, well my has gone on too long as i got preggers!!!!

Hi again w! Great that we are both having boys. Have you thought of any names yet? I am really stuck, I'm so fussy. Everything I think of reminds me of something or someone I know and then it puts me off. My baby isn't due till July 14th so you can tell me all about giving birth and how your labour went! I am scared already but I'm so excited at the same time. I was getting worried though as I haven't really fely my baby move yet. I've felt the odd flutter but it's only really occasionally. I think everyone is different though, perhaps my baby will be more active later on. How old are you? I'd like to have 2 or 3 children too. I'm not married yet but live with my boyfriend and hopefully we want to get married soon. Cheadle is a lovely area to live, I hope your new house is nice.

Just another quick question - have you been getting stressed at all throughout your pregnancy so far? I am a very anxious person and I suffer from panic attacks. I'm so worried that this is harming my baby. I've been trying to do relaxation exercises but they don't seem to help. Also, do you have trouble sleeping? I've been lying awake at night and tossing and turning trying to sleep. Good job I've still got my appet_te! I've been eating loads - feel hungry all the time!

w - March 14

Well the good thing is that u have ur appet_te, I sumtimes have one and sumtimes can go without eating. I too use to suffer from panick attacks and sometimes if I am just lying there i feel flutters in my chest like as if I'm goin to have a attack. Maybe it all the extra blood our bodies are producing, i'm goin to mention it to my midwife nxt time i go. I think if u have a relaxing bath before you go to bed it should give you a good night sleep as I have tried this and I truly slept like a baby!!!! But sayin that i do sleep well, the only thing that bugs me is finding the right side to sleep and then wen i settle the baby decides to be a acrobat!! But try the bath thing with lots of bubbles and cup of hot chocolate usually does the trick for me. Oh and I didn't start feeling my baby move until 20 weeks I was really worried and was thinking is there something wrong. Also at the moment I have been having wierd dreams were i'm having 2 babies and then where the baby dissapears and no longer in my belly, oh and to mention meeting up with ex's yuck!!!!! Oh and I am 26 yr old will be 27 in about 3 weeks i think LOL, Ive gone really clumsy since being pregnant too.

i am not pg yet i'm still ttc. It's so difficult and I don't understand why when there's so many teenagers out there that seem to get pg at the very mention of babies! He he! Ah I'm just a li'l bitter I genuinely am happy for all of you I wish you all the very best of luck with your pregnancies and your babies. xxxxxx

Hayley - March 16

w, thanks for your response. I think it's so difficult to try and relax in your pregnancy when you're naturally a very anxious person. I went to the doctors yesterday and asked them to listen to the baby's heart beat whilst I was there. She said the baby was very active and could feel it kicking all the time! So I feel loads more rea__ssured now I know he's alive and kicking so to speak! Just the past couple of days I have actually started to feel him kick. It's only really weak at the moment but it's so nice to feel him. Sounds like you've got a very active baby too! Oh and I've not cut out my chocolate during my pregnancy - I probably want it even more now! Did I ask you whether you'd thought of any names for your baby boy? Do you have any plans for your birthday? Hayls xx

Hayley - March 16

Abbie - you're right, they are mostly americans in here. Nice that us brits can have our own little discussion forum! Good luck with trying to conceive. I think it's just a matter of not giving up and being optimistic about it. Keep us posted! x

w - March 16

Hi Donna welcome to our UK site LOL. How are u feeling at 35 weeks I cant w8 to get to that stage. Do you know what your having? x

abbie - March 16

thanks for the support Britchicks. I know you are right W, it's just so hard not to think about it constantly. Feels like all I see is pregnant women and babies everywhere- on tv, in town, everywhere. Mind you I guess being on the pg website as I am I'm bound to be more aware of it all! Lol! Ah i will get there... hopefully... I am taking folic acid tablets from Sainsbury's at the moment anyway so I'm prepared a little bit. Love the names you've picked, they're really cute. Mind you, if you want a name that's truly bizarrely unique I wholely recommend you buy Chat and take some tips from the 'you called them what?' section at the front. Anyway, la la la, I'm getting totally distracted on here so I'm gonna d-r-a-g myself away and make some lunch. mmmmm...
