I need to know when it is safe to travel...up to 7 months, 8 months? Also, how soon can a newborn travel to higher elevations? I'm supposed to be in a wedding...at 8,000 feet, but I live around sea level and the baby would not be used to the alt_tude. I heard somewhere that its a bad idea before the baby is 3 months old, but I need specifics.

http://www.cdc.gov/travel/pregnant.htm ... and I might add that going to Vail from sea level might give you headaches for several days anyway. I hope you are not a smoker.

Some airlines require you to have a medical note from your doctor saying that you're safe to fly. Check with the airline first so you don't get turned away at the ticket gate.
