Hello all, I am 24 going on 25 (Feb). I have two beautiful, smart, and perfect children (boy & girl). My husband and I have decided that one more pregnancy is all that is really good for me as I have already had two C-Sections. My first baby Tabitha (2 1/2) was conceived naturally and a little bit by accident as I was in my 2nd to last year in college. Rory, my second, 10 mos. Was born via Clomid as I was ovulating irregularly or not at all. The funny thing is, that after I delivered him and went through my whole health nut kick, eating well and doing cardio kickboxing every day, I not only managed to lose about 7 pounds more than I had weighed before my first, but now all of a sudden my cycles are perfect 28 day cycles. We decided to try for our 3rd and miscarried twice in a row. I am waiting for my hcg levels to drop and my next AF to kick in to start again. It was extremely difficult to have a miscarriage the first time and even worse the second (after all I had had two babies successfully with hardly any problems.) I don't seem to have a problem getting preggo it is the holding on to the baby that is getting me. In anycase, I had always wanted 4 children and my obgyn has scared me about delivering 4 children via caesarean(spelling?). I have ordered unprescribed clomid and am anxiously awaiting its arrival. When I was prescribed it for my son Rory, I took it on days 4-8. I am considering taking it days 2-6 this time as I do appear to ovulate normally. I am taking it for two reasons. One because more than one egg might give me better chances of carrying past 8 weeks and two I would absolutely LOVE to have twins to round out my family! Hoping for one of each but will be perfectly happy with whatever happens! Is there anyone else out there trying to concieve twins like me? I would really like to go through this process with someone that I can talk to. Please hold your tutt tutt's as I know that what I am doing and that there are plenty of people out there that disagree. I don't want preaching, but someone to talk to. I know the risks, but am willing to take them. Bryandi

So according to USPS Tracking my Clomid has arrived in the US!!! I can't wait to get it. I still have not had AF since the last miscarriage and I feel like she is holding out until I get my package in the mail! Jackie, Linda please tell me your stories.

Hi there Bryandi, Well i will introduce myself a little more :) I am Linda, i live in Australia, i have two beautiful little boy's born by c-section, i have had 3 miscarrages and now we are ttc number 3 and or 4 lol :). We have been ttc number 3 since son number 2 was 6mth's old and he is now nearly 2 in Feb, so yep we have been ttc for that long, but that is because of my partners job also, he is in the Aussie navy and goes away alot, sometimes 3 mths at a time which leads to long ttc breaks. So anyway while ttc all that time i have had 2 miscarriages. I decided to try u/p Clomid after having a dream that i had twin daughters lol then it was on from there lol, i ordered my Clomid from sundrugstore.com, it arrived, then i decided to try the 50mg's on CD's 2-6 first and see what happens. So far i am on CD 15 and have had no symptoms apart from hot flushes which are annoying esp when the weather here in Australia is already hot lol. I have not been using opk's or taking my temp, i have just been having intercourse everynight and will plan to continue that until my parnter goes away on the 7th of Jan, i will then be CD19 and hopefully would of already ovulated, if not, i will have to wait until March when he get's back to try again. If i am not pregnant now and i have to wait until March when my partner gets back from his trip i was thinking of taking my dose up to 100mg's now that i know i have been alright on 50mg's. So there you go, that's me in a nutshell, well maybe bigger then a nutshell haha. I hope to get too know you all better and can't wait to share all of our experience's with each other :). Ohh i also just wanted to say nice too meet you both Bryandi and Jackie :). Take Care, Linda xoxo

Wow linda, that must be tough, having to wait three months at a time to try again...(not to mention not seeing your partner for that long or his sons's seeing him for that long) Best wishes to you. I will be taking progesterone (prescribed) this next pregnancy. It was the one thing my doc was willing to do as a result of my two miscarriages. So I will have to monitor my ovulation to know when to take the progesterone. My job is very very busy during February thru April and if we don't conceive this month or next, we are going to have to wait until our due date would be in May. ( I missed busy season with my son, so I figure it wouldn't be good to do it again!) Lot's of sticky baby dust to you!!!! Maybe you will get a BFP!!

I waiting for the clomid to arrive, I ordered if from mexmeds4you.com hopefully it clears customs and arrives, I did the order December 14. I live in Canada, near Vancouver, BC I have two beautiful children a little girl 3.5 and a boy 20 months. My last pregnancy ended in miscarriage-but I was pregnant with identical twins (girls), we had a pathology done and found out that they had a very rare chromosome abnormality. I've had two previous miscarriages in the past, but this one was really tough, I didn't see it coming. Since I've had a hard time in the past, I go to a pregnancy loss clinic and receive extra monitoring by a specialist for the first 3 months. My husband I went for the ten week ultra sound, we brought our daughter and the babies had no heart beats. It was a very sad time for everyone. I'm finally ready to start trying again, we have no problem getting pregnant, the longest we've gone is three months of TTC. I would really love twins, but even a singleton would be a blessing, in a sad way I'm relived that the last pregnancy ended, two children with disabilities would be quite the strain on our family. I'm with you Brandi, I don't want preaching, I'm well aware of the risks, and willing to take them.

Hello Ladies! I have been reading all of your comments and I feel for you. I'm not sure exactly how I feel about the u/p clomid part but I think if that's what you want to do then that is your decision!!! As for me, I am on perscribed Clomid and this will be my second cycle. Long story short is I started going through some infertility testing in September. I had an HSG (where they check for blockage in your tubes and uterus). Everything came out ok except for had spotting for 2 WEEKS after the test. I went in to the doctor and found out I was a couple weeks pregnant and was going to MC. That was really hard. But now here we are, on Clomid and hoping for the best! I have always dreamed of having twins but that is not the reason I am taking the Clomid, a singleton would be just as big of a blessing! So AF visited on January 1st so this will be CD3 for me. I will start Clomid on CD5-9. How about everyone else? What CD is everyone on! Hope to hear from everyone soon!!

LittleLinda - January 3

Argh for some reason it's not letting me post any large comments :-s

LittleLinda - January 3

Hi there Ladies :) I will try again lol. Bryandi, it does get a little though while being away from Rob (my partner) for long periods of time, it does annoy me that everytime he does go away there is 3 mths of cycles down the drain that i could of been ttc on, but ohhh well. I hope the progestrone works for you next time and you get a nice sticky BFP :) hopefully your pills will show up soon, how exciting. Jackie, I am soooo sorry too hear about the loss of your twin babies, that's so sad, i know how hard it can be too just loose one, but loosing two at the same time i could imagine would of been harder on you and your family. I wish you loads of luck ttc another set of twins. DJ_Jazzy, don't feel for us sweety, it was obviously our life path and we had to go through what we all did for a reason, hopefully thing's look up for all of us and we will be getting sticky little beans soon enough, i am sorry for hearing about your loss aswell, it is a difficult time. I hope you are all doing well and i will post back later. Lot's of huggles and highfives. Take care all, Linda xoxo

Bryandi - January 3

Jackie, I am so sorry for your loss. I do believe that things happen for a reason and thus that your twins are in a better place for them. Hopefully your Clomid makes the border. I was worried about that as well. But according to my tracking information it made it accross the border. I should recieve it in a day or two!!! What days are you planning on taking it? Linda, if you took your pills on days 2-6 you should have ovulated somewhere between days 11 and 15 right? 5-9 days after the last pill? I hope that your partner had some good strong swimmers for you!!! Throwing lots and lots of sticky baby dust to you and hoping for a BFP!!! DJ_Jazzy, almost time to start your next round!! That is always exciting. I am very sorry to hear that you had a miscarriage as well. It seems we are all in a bit of the same boat. Do you know what the cause of your infertility is? Have they diagnosed you or is it unknown? I am planning on taking my clomid on days 2-6. I have heard that the earlier in your cycle it causes more follies to develop and later in your cycle it causes less follies, but stronger ones. Throwing lot's of sticky baby dust to all!

DJ_Jazzy - January 3

Bryandi - I haven't been diagnosed with any infertility. They were starting to do some tests in September and that's when I MC'd so I never really got dianosed with anything. The only positive thing that came out of the MC is that now we know that I can get pregnant. My DH and I have been TTC for over a year and were beginning to get worried. And yes, they say that earlier in your cycle you start Clomid, the more follies you produce but the later you start, the stronger they are! What days will you be taking yours?

DJ_Jazzy - January 3

Oops! Just read that you will be taking it CD2-6. I was thinking about changing to CD3-7 this month. Today is CD3 so I would need to start it tonight. What do you guys think? Last month I had my blood drawn at 7DPO and my progesterone was at 45 which is really good so I know I ovulated like crazy when I took it CD5-9. Maybe I will just stick with 5-9 for now and if this month doesn't work, I can switch to 3-7. Any ideas?

LittleLinda - January 3

Hi there Bryandi, I have a feeling i may of ovulated around CD's 12-14 as i found one patch of ewcm on CD12 and another patch on CD13 and on CD14 i was a bit crampy, i am now on CD16 and last night and this morning i had some medium period type cramps, so i am hoping that there is a little bean implanting right about now lol. Yes, i took mine CD2-6, i remember when i took the first pill i waved it in the air to Rob (my partner) and said "well here goes" lol i then told him if anything was to happen to me to take me straight to the hospital, but i am fine and like i said in another post i did not have any symptoms apart from hot flushes. They say you normally ovulate around 5-10 day's after your last pill. DJ_Jazzy, I think as you have already done a 5-9 cycle and you know you ovulated fine, maybe you should stick with that, like you said if this mth you don't get your BFP you can always change over and try the CD3-7. Good luck too you darl, lot's of baby dust. Take Care, Linda xoxo

Bryandi - January 4

DJ_Jazzy, I agree with Linda. I think that since you know you ovulated maybe this round you should stick with it this time and maybe change it up next time. Did I remember you saying that this would be round two? I hear a lot of people don't concieve on the first round anyhow. It was true for me. I was prescribed Clomid with my second child and we conceived him the second cycle of clomid. Linda, well now you are in the 2ww! Good luck to you. Unfortunately today I had some upsetting news. I had my hcg tested 2 weeks ago and it was 125. I then had it tested again yesterday and it came back 108. It is dropping very slowly. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get it to move quicker? I haven't had any bleeding in a couple of weeks except a very tiny bit of color in my cm sometimes when I wipe. Any ideas to help move this along?

LittleLinda - January 4

Bryandi, I wish there was a way too help thing's move along faster, but unfortunately it's better for your body too recover in it's own time, so then you know you are completely free of old HCG hormones and you can continue ttc without any worries. You know what i mean? I too was in the same situation as yourself and the waiting for me was awful but i did actually fall pregnant with DS#2 straight after the miscarriage cycle.I hope thing's move quickly for you darl. When are you thinking of starting your Clomid, next cycle?

Bryandi - January 4

Linda, that is great news. Well.....minus the part where you said there is nothing I can do. That is a very difficult task for me, the lack of control or even just a little bit of ability to move things along. I really just want this waiting to be over with. Hopefully I will get lucky like you and concieve immediately following. I do plan on starting my clomid (once i finally arrives) on my next cycle. I hate to wait for anything and now I am waiting for my levels to drop and for my Clomid to arrive...... Arghh it is a frustrating world for someone like me :) :) Anywho. Things are about to get really busy for me at work and I won't have time to think about anything other than work for very long periods in a day.

DJ_Jazzy - January 4

*LittleLinda - you guys are all right! I decided to just stick with CD5-9 and if it doesn't work this month, maybe I will change it up next month! *Bryandi - I'm sorry about what is going on with you. Trust me, I know how you feel! I found out I was pregnant in October 07 but that I was going to miscarry. My level was only at 80 the first day I got my blood tested and it went down to 60 within two days. I didn't get my next cycle until December 1st so it does take a while. And I do agree with Linda, it is better to let your body go through it on it's own. That way you can recover and carry a healthy pregnancy next time!! Let us know how it goes ok? I will be hoping for the best! I will be starting Clomid tomorrow so here is to another month!!

Mandi-83 - January 5

Hi Bryandi, like you, I am thinking about taking clomid. I would absolutely love to have twins, however I was initially thinking of taking it for fertility reasons. I have never had more than 6 periods a year, and they generally last 3-4 days, and it has led me to conclude that I may be infertile. I am desperate to get preggo and if I had twins or triplets, that would be a miracle bonus. I would love to go through this experience w/ you. Although I am put off on trying for the next couple months because I am in Egypt with my husband's family, and I'd prefer to conceive back at home, where I am more familiar. But I will keep posting. (And hello to everyone else here, good luck to everyone trying, may you all conceive and carry healthy, bouncy, babies to term :-)
