Yesterday, I went in for just an appointment... and they went ahead and did my first ultrasound. The said that everything looked good. I am 6 weeks 5 days right now. The baby was extremely small but the heartbeat was very visible. The said that my left ovary is huge compared to my right. When I asked if that was good, they said yes... but I didn't understand why. Does anyone know why this is good??

They may have been talking about the Corpus luteum, which develops from the folical that the egg is released from (on the overy). It is needed to maintain progesteron levels during the begining of a pregnancy until the placenta is formed and large enough to take over. As far as large overy's go that is the only thing I can think of they would have ment.
