We went for our 19 week U/S and I had a gut feeling as to what I was having and the U/S said I was having the opposite - but I dont feel convinced and neither does my husband as they did not actually show us the gender organs - Do you think they made a mistake, is it worth going for another one - I am so confussed - has anyone ever been told they are one one s_x and later told another - please share your experiences with me

Did the Technician tell you with a degree of confidence? Ultrasounds are quite accurate, of a lot more so than gut feelings. They are not 100%, and mistakes can be made. I know of people that have been given the wrong gender for their baby; but they are still your best bet short of an amniocentecis, which is almost never administered for gender confirmation. You can certainly try again later if it's important to you and you're not convinced of these results.

BASICALLY ULTRASOUNDS ARE TO DETECT IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH BABY AND YOU AND ALSO TO CHECK FOR POSSIBLE DUE DATE.WITH MY PREVIOUS PREGNANCY THEY TOLD ME THAT I WAS HAVING A BOY AND I ENDED UP HAVING A GIRL BUT THAT WAS 6 YRS AGO.I KNOW THAT MY ULTRASOUND FROM THIS PREGNANCY IS ALOT MORE CLEAR THAN THE OTHERS ,YOU CAN ACUALLY SEE EVERYTHING AND MAKE IT OUT VERY CLEAR..AND IT IS A GIRL AGAIN.....GOOD LUCK TO YOU
