Unsure Of Pregnancy

Is it possible to be pregnant and still have your period? The reason why I'm asking this is because I was late a couple of days. And my period is not normal like it should be. I usually have a very heavy flow that last up to 15 days and this week when I started my period was weird. I had just finished having s_x with my boyfriend when I notice that I had bleed. I went to the restroom and when I wiped it was hardly nothing. I thought it was period, but no. I did not bleed until like two days later. And it was hardly nothing. Then I started my period deffinately on the 16 of June. But is was very light. I usually bleed so much that I can barely walked or do anything without having the fear of staining my panties.I was expecting my period on the 14 of June and did not got it until the 16 of June. And like I said it before.... is very light compare to the way I usually have it. And i'm frequently dizzy and I'm starting to feel an upset stomach certain days when I smell certain foods. So is it possible to be pregnant???

yes you can get what you think is your period, usually abnormal like you discribed. If you're worried about being pregnant test asap!

did u say ur periods last 15 days?? that's a long time!!

I agree 15 days is way too long, anything past 7 days is considered abnormal bleeding. Sounds like your system is just out of whack but, you should test to be sure. I would see a Dr. about the long cycles. Do you tend to go a while without one sometimes?

i missed that, maybe she meant 5??

No. My menstrual flow is around 15 days long. Not 5 days.

My neice also tends to have a 2 week period, and heavy flow, she is only 20. All the Dr. has told her is to take the pill and it should straighten out. Not really what you want to do when trying to concieve. She also tends to go a while without one for 2 or 3 months.
