I currently take a prenatal vitamin, a potasium, an omega 3 fish oil, a Lysine supplement, and 4 fiber supplements every morning- I found out I am 5 weeks pregnant yesterday- are all of these safe to take while Im pregnant? I am going to make a doctor's appointment after i miss my period, but id kinda like to know what the general word is now.

What you are taking should not cause a problem. Now that you know you are pregnant, cut back to just the prenatal and the fish oil until you can check with your OB on the others. Congrats!

The prenatal and fiber should be ok until you can clear everything with your doctor. I'm not sure about the pota__sium or the lysine. My only concern with the fish oil is that it could be made from fish livers which contain Retinol vitamin A and should not be taken during pregnancy. Good luck with you pregnancy and congrats!

hmmm, my prenatals (both pregnancies) had Fish oil in them and were supposed to be good for the baby's brain development.

Not all fish oils are bad, just those made from the livers. Oils found in prenatals are, of course, fine.
