What are the consequenses of smoking you for ten days of pregnancy? I just found out I was pregnant and did not know and have continued to smoke. What are the effects of the smoking for the tens days on the baby???

Even my chain smoking sis-in-laws quit while they were preg. If you continue you could have low birth weight and a slew of other probs. Their kids all have asthma since they started smoking again while they were babies. Please try and quit and STAY smoke free. It will be soooo worth it for you and your baby. Best of luck!

No worries. Smoking isnt as bad as drinking. It wont hurt your baby, the only thing it would do would cause problems with the placenta, and that only later on in your pregnancy. You know what though, I have known tons of people who have smoked through out their entire pregnancies and have been fine. Its not recomended, it can cause problems with the placenta but if its only been 10 days into your pregnancy I really wouldnt worry. If you do have additional concerns talk to you doctor and they will tell you pretty much the same thing. Good luck and happy pregnancy!!!

Chances are your baby is fine. The sooner you quit the better. I also smoked cigs. and I quit as soon as I found out I was pregnant. My baby is as healthy as can be!!

You sound like you have stock in a tobacco company. GET REAL! If you can't quit for 9 months?????

It's extremely unlikely that you did any damage to the baby.
