umm... i could be just sitting there and ill feel my side go numb... like around my hip and top of my leg... anyone know what this is from???

it's your uterus cutting off nerves in your leg. Change positions often as best as you can and let your body be your guide as far as what is comfortable and for how long...

it's really normal...happened to me all the time when i was pregnant. Usually one b___t cheek would be numb.

I'm not sure how far along you are, but in later stages the baby may lay on the cyatic (SP?) nerve and that can cause minor-extreme numbness.

That used to happen to me all the time when I was pregnant as well. It's normal

It happened to me all the time as well. How far are you?

It could be sciatica. It is the nerve that runs down your leg and can make it go numb if pressure it put on it. Usually the baby puts that pressure on it. It goes away when the pressure is taken off it. It's shold be only temporary. Good luck!

Pretty much ditto to what everyone else is saying. Nerves do funny things when they start to get pinched or pressured. My worst problem was carpal tunnel syndrome (sp?). It all stinks, but should go away very shortly after baby gets here! Best of luck and take care!
