When And How To Tell My Boss

I work in an facility where there are only 2 in the office, my boss and myself. I am terrified to tell my boss I am pregnant. My last pregnancy was really hard on her, she had no time off, and didn't have a good experience with the replacement. My boss really never takes time off, she says that she can't... too much work to be done, but, she has told me in advance that she is taking 3 weeks off in March 2006... which now around the time I am due, and with my last pregnancy I had to take a month off ahead of time cause of my blood pressure. I am so scared to tell her... especially since I don't even know my due date exactly. So, please give me some advice on how to tell her my situation.

Send her an email of the web link to your posting as soon as possible. Make sure you tell her you need to talk about something extreemly important.

Maybe you can suggest hiring a temp or 2 to help out at work? When are you due? 3/11 here. Good luck!

bite the bullet. You have a boss that respects you enough (which reflects well on you) that she is giving you a 7 month heads up she intends on taking three weeks off in March. Repay that respect and give her the same amount of time to find a temp and train that person to be a good replacement for the period of time your boss needs him/her - maybe a__sure your boss you will help the replacement come up to speed so the experience will be less painful this time around?? Stress your concern for the effect this will have on your job, but also the fact that you are very excited about your new baby... and good luck :) and congrats on your new baby!
