When Do The Stretch Marks Start

If you are prone to get them, as I've read (it's predominantly hereditary), when do they start to show? After 20 weeks, 25 weeks??

Well with my first one I went throughout the whole thing without getting a single one. My second pregnancy was back to back with my first and around the 6 month I started getting them. Weep Weep. Anyway my mom has them and so does my sister from their pregnancies.

My mom got them really badly but I only got two on my hip. I think a big part of getting them has to do with how much weight you gain. Most of my friends who gained the 25 - 35lbs did not get them.

I got alot with my first son all over my body except on my tummy until I was 37wks and he began to drop and then I started to get a few on my tummy and sides, with my second son I started getting them around 28wks only on my tummy and b___sts but I was "all baby" and now 2wks later (after having him) I have lost 35lbs and my tummy is pretty flat but is covered in stretch marks and no matter what anyone says, nothing will keep you from getting them, not cocoa b___ter not oil nothing, lol I tried everything with both pregnancies.

I heard the exact same thing, that the stretching is caused UNDER the first layer of skin so no cream in the world will help except with the itching. So I was just wondering when to keep an eye out for them and I've also heard that there's a belt-like thing you can wear to hold your belly up a bit. I was wondering if anyone heard of that and if it works. Thanks for your input!
