Hi! When did you first notice your baby reacting to sound? How often does you baby kick (or not kick) to loud noises such as dog barks, slamming door, etc.? I'm just curious, b/c mine doesn't seem bothered by dog barking, etc.... I'm 20 weeks 3 days... however when I saw the movie "Herbie" about 2 weeks ago and the baby was kicking up a storm during it, so I'm sure he's okay... Is it normal for them not to respond to loud noises that much? THANKS for any help!!!!!!!!

Hi Rachel. I was wondering the same thing. I would stand right next to the motorbike when b/f started it up, expecting to feel her flinch but nothing. I got worried, thinking she must be deaf. She's 6 weeks old now and startles when something is dropped or at sudden noises. I can't remember if she responded to anything actually.

I didn't really notice her reacting to sound until I was 25 weeks. Loud movies used to do it. She didn't react a lot though until very recently. I'm 32 weeks now, and I couple of arguments with my husband last week. I noticed she kicked violently after I shouted at him. Feel really guilty about that, so I'm trying to keep calm from now on. Hope she's not warped for life already! :(
