Hi just wondered when the earliest time to test to get an accurate result. As i am currently 9dpo and my test was BFN and everyone had been saying its to early to test yet. so was just wondering what the earliest anyone has tested and resulted in BFP? Thanks

It depends on the test and how sensitive it is. You can find out by comparing the levels of HCG they detect on line. I know that I had read before that First Response detected only 30 HCG, where as others were 70 - 100. Also, remember that your level of HCG (the hormone the test looks for) is different from other women. I tested 3 days before my missed period, and tested negative, then tested 1 day late for my period and tested positive. I am 20 weeks pregnant now, so it didn't detect it too early for me. My advice is wait until your period due date. I know that is hard, but it's more accurate.

Thanks TaraO - Its just so hard, I hate testing anyway, as so used to seeing 1 line :(

It stinks, I could've bought stock in pregnancy tests. How long have you been trying? It took me 8 months, but I was taking tests 4-5 days before and 1-2 days after my period was due until I got my positive. I'm sure one will come soon -

I have already paid so much on OPK and HPT, its unbeleiveable. Only been trying for 2 months now, but its exhausting and feels like forever!

Yes, it does seem like forever Twin-desire. But, guess you just have to wait...and good luck to you. As for TaraO, this is my 7th months of ttc....hope I will be as lucky as you become pregnant on the 8th month. This month, I dun eve know if I even O, saw the dark line on the opk stick bought from online but with a BFN on the clear blue digital opk so =P....have you ever tried clomid? my dr have my tried for two months and stops, and the month after I stop clomid my period was two weeks late but BFN =P ...this is the second month after clomid so hope I did O ...otherwise..hope next month will be the month for me ^^..and good luck to you twin_desire ^^

I am sure you will have your lucky month, itwasn't until I backed off worrying about it. I was so focused on s_x around 14 days after the first day of my period and taking ovulation kits, that I was missing the window entirely. Apparently I ovulated 8 days after my period began, which is exactly why I missed it on the ovulation kit, I wasn't even testing that soon- I never tried clomid, but my sister in law was on it. She didn't get pregnant on it. She was about 15 pounds over her healthy weight so she read an article about being over weight and the strain it puts on reproduction, went to the gym for 4 weeks, and wound up pregnant after she lost about 10 pounds. Kind of cool, I thought.

haha I see. Well i am around 115lb and only 24...this is my first time ttc...didnt expect it to be this hard =P ...but I guess just wait and see, hope good luck will fall on me soon ^^

it definitely stinks - I was like you 115 - 7 months and my doctor was not for trying anything until I had waited a year. On the 8th month it worked out. I am sure it will all work out for you. Good luck with everything - I wish you lots of luck -- ( By the way - I didn't mean to incinuate you were over weight, if it came across that way - I just thought it was interesting, cause I hadn't heard it before) BEST OF LUCK!!!

haha no problem ^^ I saw that type of information online too..if you are too skinny or over weight...it might reduces your chance of conceiving. anyway, today is already my CD23...guess one or two weeks to go ^^
