When Is The Miscarriage Scare Really Over

Hello all, this is my first pregnancy and I just have a question to put out there. When does the rate of miscarriage really drop? I've always heard that 12 weeks is the magical number but I've been doing a lot of reading and I see where they can happen up to 20 weeks? Is there really a safe time where we can all relax, stop worrying and enjoy being pregnant? Thanks to all...

it dosnt really end....my sister in law had one at 24 weeks...except it is no longer called a miscarriage...she was induced and had to deliver the baby....i was there and it was sooo sad...she held the baby and even named her...the chances are greater in the 1st 12 weeks but it can happen anytime

Congrats!! Leslie, just say your prayers honey and try not to stress! You just have to go about life with the feeling that everything is going to be ok. You don't need to put any unnecessary stress on yourself! Like rose said, the risk is greater in the first trimester, but it could happen anytime. So you just have to believe that everything is going to go just fine! Best of luck to you!! How far along are you?

Thank you ~m~ I just recently found this website and this network of support is truly a blessing. I'm right at 10.5 weeks. I had a doppler on 2/25 and they couldn't hear the heartbeat so I'm scheduled to go back on 3/4. I am trying my best not to stress! I think that maybe I'm just reading too much...some of those pregnancy books really scared the c___p out of me! Thanks again to you all and God Bless!
