right now i am on birth control but my hubby an i decided we want to have a baby. So if I stop taking the pill now, how long will it take to get out of my system and will I be "normal" again, and able to convieve? What I'm trying to ask is h0w long it takes for the pill to ware off? Or how could i Find that out? Thanks.

It really all depends on your body. I went off the pill and my periods were regular... some people dont get regular periods and if this is the case have to wait longer. Some people also say to wait a year... but I went off it in May and got pregnant 2 1/2 months later. I think it just depends on the individual. Try right away and see what happends...

It only takes 24 hours for the B/C pill to be out of your system. But, your body may take longer to get "back to normal". So, I would just relax and let your body do what it knows how to do. You could become pregnant right away or it could take awhile.

my doctor suggests to wait at least three months before trying to become pregnant. This way it alows your body to have normal cycles again, and for the uterine lining to build fully and be ready for the embryo. The shorter time you wait, the greater the chances of a miscarriage.
