Who Is Due This Week

I am due this week and have been soooooo emotional. I cry at the drop of a hat. I am so scared of everything...of giving birth and of the responsibility of having a baby. I am due Thursday and am soooooo tired of being pregnant!!! I cried this morning because I was just ready for her to be out!!! Wondering what I could do to make her come, but then I think about it and decide that she will come when she is ready and I don't want to do anything to stop that. Anyone else at their wits end with being pregnant?

Yes! Well, as you know, I was due last week, but it will be this week for sure! I know how you're feeling S. I got so depressed because my baby didn't come on the day she was due, and that depression continued for several days. Lot of tears etc. Soooooooo fed up with pregnancy and soooooooo uncomfortable now. The good thing is, that once you are a few days past the due date, you start to count down to the induction date, and whilst that may not be exactly what you want, it's just so good to know thast it will all be over soon, one way or another. :) I'm scared of parenthood too, but I think everyone is. None of us are experts, and it's going to be hard, especially in the beginning, but we'll be ok. Due on Thursday huh? I'm due to be induced on Friday, if nothing happens, so you may even beat me to it! Good luck!

Lissi how long after your due date before they think about inducing?

With me they booked me in for an induction when I was only 2 days over. My hospital has a policy of inducing labor 10-12 days after the due date, for the baby's safety. I think they were wrong about my dates though, because I have a longer than average cycle, which is slightly irregular, so I've no idea when I conceived. I so hope I have her before they intervene!

At my last doctors visit my doc started talking about the possibilities of inducing.....he said that usually when they start talking about it, the baby will get scared and come on out on it's own!!! lol......maybe you should just focus on it and scare the baby out!! lol.....either way at least you know your precious little one will be here this week!!! I would be sooooo excited if I were you!!

I share your concerns..I went and saw the doc this morning and my baby's fluid is low so she is going to go ahead and take the baby out tomorrow at 1:30 and I am sooo nervous..I am scheduled for a repeat c-section, my last one was 10 years ago and I am so nervous..I am so excited too, but the fear of being on the table this time tomorrow is taking all the fun out of it for me b/c I am so scared..

Lynn...at least you know your going to meet your baby tomorrow!! I know it has to be scarey for you but it will be over before you even realize it and at least you kinda know what to expect because you have been through it before. Think of all the women who will be doing the same thing, all around the world, at the same time you are!!! I'm sure you will do just fine and by this time tomorrow you will be holding your precious little baby!!! I wish you the best of luck and be sure you check back on and tell us how things went!!!
