It's all in the timing. You are only fertile for about 6 - 24 hours in a month. For a woman with a normal cycle this happens about 14 days after the first day of your last period. Do a google search on getting pregnant. There are so many sites that have excellent information on how to recognize different signs your body gives throughout your cycle.

In the early 20s there is a 75% chance of getting pregnant in the first six months, 92% in the first year. If you haven't succeeded after one year you may want to talk to a doctor. The links and information on http://www.ppowb.org/fertility may help.

Try reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. I got pregnant on the first try. My friend swore by it and got pregnant quickly with both kids. Good luck!
