Why Is It Taking So Long

my due date was yesterday, i had a appointment to and my doctor checked me and said that i was 5 centimeters so she sent me to the hospital but when i got there they told me to go home becasue i was only 4 centimeters and my water didn't brake yet how much longer will i be in labor? and i'm not feeling any pains at all will my whole labor be as painless as it is now?

I would say the baby could come at any time, you will know when you start labour, the contractions will begin, or your water will break. Initially, the contractions won't come regularly. Unfortunately, you will feel a lot more pain once labour starts and the contractions are more frequent. Good luck!

hi there if u are 4 to 5 cm dileted your labour will be on its way but it can start off very slow the speed right up if i was u i would get the midwife to visit u at home and she could swipe ya membranes (thats if in the uk) other than that u could still go a day or so i would go for a long walk and eat some pineapples fresh as much as u can or even have s_x that would kick start u good luck and hope u see ya baby soon
