Why Is My New Born Son Pee Smell So Strong

h__lo mommies and mommies to be! well my son is 3 months old and i notice that every time he pees the smell is just so strong. it dont even have to be alot of pee, but i have to change the diaper because the smell just be so loud. does anyone know anything i can do to help my sons pee from not being so strong.

Stop feeding him aparagus, lol:) Actually, I am not sure what would cause this other than your diet. Have you been eating asparagus? I would ask a ped about it b/c it is possible that it could be kidney related. Let us know what you hear. If it makes you feel better, our son also has a strong urine scent.

I think there is a rare condition that causes a newborn to have urine that smells like maple syrup. If that's what it smells like, I would definitely get it checked out to make sure it's not that.

no hes definitly not eating aparagus all he do is drink formula and once in a while a put a little baby cereal in his milk other than that. thats it. he has a appointment at the end of the month i will have a talk with my pedatrician about it thanks.

Has he been drinking soda? If I drink coke my pees is brown and really stinks.

Could he have a uti? I remember when my daughter had one the dr. saying that sometimes parents notice a stronger smelling urine.
