this might be an overly dumb question but.. i am young and this is my first baby so i am just wondering if i go into a pool that is cold.. like not freezing but you know on a normal summer day its a little chilly not the warmest will it affect my babys temperature as well? or do i have nothing to be worried about as he is well protected?.. i am 25 weeks pregnant

I wouldn't worry. Ask your doctor. I would say your baby is well protected in there but it is a good question that I have even wondered about. They say it's not good to take hot baths so.....being extra cold might not be good either.

you have nothing to worry about. Your baby is safe and secure in your warm womb. The only time cool water temperature would harm you or baby is if it were cold enough to cause hypothermia. Our body temperature is very stable and wont fluctuate over something simple like a pool or even a cool mountain stream. So unless you are jumping in the waters of the north pole you have nothing to worry about.

The only thing I would say is that your baby might kick you, my little girl freaked out a couple of weeks ago when I went swimming in our cold river. She kicked me the hardest ever, I actually saw it and felt it at the same time, I think she was just like hey what's going on out there. It's okay to go swimming, and your body temp is regulated, swim away.
